Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Agricultural Machinery Design Engineer for our client, a respected manufacturing organization in Lexington, NE! In this role, you’ll use CAD tools to modify, resize, or design components and equipment for manufacturing. This is a full time, direct hire, onsite role in Lexington, NE!

• Compensation range is $65-85k+, depending on experience

What you will be doing:

• Design product changes and innovations using Inventor and AutoCAD 3D modeling software and create technical prints for the shop floor.
• Perform finite element analyses (FEA) and provide related simulations.
• Develop costed bills of materials, routings, and make ECN changes as necessary.
• Define specifications for materials and fabricated components, including sourcing, quoting, and selecting vendors.
• Produce detailed design reports for major projects, covering design processes, safety factors, costs, and functional analyses.
• Collaborate with shop personnel on prototyping and tooling development for new designs.
• Develop quotes, feasibility studies, and estimates for customer requests.
• Offer technical engineering support to product support personnel, manufacturing teams, and other internal departments.
• Travel to field test prototypes, visit producers, and attend trade shows.
• Perform other related tasks to support project goals and company operations.

What you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, or Structural Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
• 2+ years demonstrated experience with Agricultural, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Design Engineering
• Proficiency with FEA, and in Inventor, SolidWorks, and/or AutoCAD 3D modeling software.
• Experience in creating and analyzing product designs, cost estimations, and prototypes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical details effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and address issues proactively.
• Willingness to travel for field testing, trade shows, customer interactions.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
