Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team in Washington, Pennsylvania. This position offers a Contract to permanent opportunity, ideal for candidates seeking long-term growth in a manufacturing environment. The role requires strong expertise in various accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general financial operations. Responsibilities: - Process accounts payable transactions accurately and ensure timely payments to vendors. - Manage accounts receivable operations, including invoicing and payment tracking. - Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. - Handle billing functions and ensure compliance with company policies. - Support general accounting tasks, such as journal entries and ledger maintenance. - Collaborate with the receiving department to verify financial documentation. - Prepare and review financial reports for management. - Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. - Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations. - Address and resolve any discrepancies in financial records. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. - Proficiency in handling billing functions and account reconciliations. - Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices. - Ability to produce accurate financial reports and documentation. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications. - Effective communication skills for team collaboration and vendor interactions. - Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
